I went to Little Dom’s in Los Feliz for dinner over a year ago with Ryan and Tony and it was delicious, but a little out of my price range. One of those restaurants I’d reserve for special occasions.
Last weekend Braids’ friend Kelly was visiting and we went out to brunch at Little Dom’s. When Braids first mentioned that was their choice, I was a little apprehensive about the price but figured brunch couldn’t be too bad. I was pleasantly surprised, prices were reasonable, even lower than expected and the food was incredible. Roman and I have been in search of the perfect breakfast potatoes and I think Little Dom’s wins. Evenly cooked on the inside and crisp to perfection on the outside with fried bits of potato skin all over the plate. Crushed with garlic, hints of lemon and seasoned with salt, pepper and fresh Italian parsley. Can I have these every weekend?
And because we couldn’t just get potatoes…I got a potato, onion, rosemary and fontina cheese frittata, Roman got the french toast souffle and we shared (well I ate most of it) grilled bread with raspberry jam and a cup of Nutella that brought me right back to French class in high school.
Only downside to this brunch? The hostess was a total pill. Luckily the food made me forget about her. Can’t wait to go back. I’d like to try everything on the menu.
